Kristin Bernstein is an American motion picture producer and director. She is the Unit Production Manager and a Producer for The Good Wife. She has also worked as an Assistant Director and Unit Production Manager on The Sopranos, winning a Directors Guild of America (DGA) Award for the episode "Whitecaps". She won a second DGA Award for her work as an Assistant Director on the film A Beautiful Mind (2002).

Bernstein began her motion picture career as a production assistant in film. She debuted on Cape Fear (1991). She went on to work on the television feature Running Mates (1992). She then worked extensively on film including Scent of a Woman (1992), Mad Dog and Glory (1993), Six Degrees of Separation (1993), I.Q. (1994), Sudden Death (1995), and The American President (1995).
She then became an Assistant Director (AD) for film and television. She debuted as the Second Second AD on The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996). She was the second AD for the drama series Feds and Dellaventura and the television feature Sins of the Mind in 1997. She returned to film in 1998, serving as the second AD for Great Expectations and Hush. She also worked as the second AD for the second unit for the television feature My Husband's Secret Life (1998). In 1999 she was second AD for the film A Fish in the Bathtub and the second AD for the New York unit of the films The Corruptor, Dudley Do-Right, and The Bone Collector.
In 1999 she joined the crew of the new Home Box Office (HBO) crime drama The Sopranos as a second AD. She remained with the show throughout its seven season run. The directing crew of the series won the Director's Guild of America (DGA) Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series' - Night for their work on the fourth season finale "Whitecaps" in 2003. She served as the first AD for the series shooting in Paris for the episode "Cold Stones" during its sixth and final season. She also worked as an Assistant Unit Production Manager during the final season in 2007. She was the Unit Production Manager for the episode "Blue Comet".
She was the second AD for the films A Beautiful Mind (2001) and Elf (2003) while working on The Sopranos. The directing team for A Beautiful Mind won the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Motion Pictures in 2002. She went on to work as the second AD for the films The Namesake (2006) and Enchanted (2007).
She was the Unit Production Manager for the first season of The Good Wife, joining the crew with the sixth episode "Conjugal" in fall 2009. She returned as the Unit Production Manager and Co-Producer for the second season in fall 2010. She was promoted to Producer from the fourteenth episode "Net Worth" onward. She returned in this role for the third season in fall 2011.
